Proposed Yorkshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Natural England are carryout consultation on a proposal to designate the Yorkshire Wolds as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
The proposed AONB includes the following two areas:
"A costal area comprising the striking peninsula of the Flamborough Headland and its immediate hinterland stretching from the Speeton Hills around Reighton in the north to the Sewerby Cliffs in the south"

Filey Volunteers celebrate 30 years of the National Coastwatch Institute
On Wednesday 28 August the Town Council's Mayor was delighted to be invited to join volunteers from Filey Coastwatch Station celebrate 30 years of the National Coastwatch Institute. Since June an anniversary flag has been touring the country to visit all 60 coast watch stations across the UK and ended its journey in Filey, the most northerly station on the East Coast.

Temporary Closure Of Filey Museum – 8 to 10 Queen Street
As the owner of the building, the Town Council has been working with the museum trustees on a project to carry out essential repairs to secure the future of the grade II listed building that houses their collection.
